GDPR changes for Server and Data Center customers

To further comply with European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) standards, Tempo is making changes to its extension points from Atlassian. The goal in doing so is to improve your ability to anonymize users and minimize the amount of personal information stored. These changes will be backwards compatible with Jira 8.0 and up, and will be released with Tempo Timesheets for Server 10.12.0, Tempo Planner for Server 7.12.0 and Tempo Budgets for Server 13.12.0.

To comply with GDPR, you -- or more specifically, your Jira administrator -- will now have the ability to anonymize a range of personal information for existing users. This will allow you to do the following:

  • Change user keys and usernames of existing users
  • Anonymize user profiles
  • Delete or anonymize personal information that appears in Jira

It is important to note that the changes listed above require action on the part of the Jira administrator and do not happen automatically. You can find more information on how to enable these changes here.
