Audit logging for Capacity Planner

Greater visibility and traceability for every planning change

We're introducing “Audit Logging” for Capacity Planner, a new capability that gives you and other administrators a clear, centralized record of all the key actions taken within your planning workspace.

Audit logging allows you to view a detailed audit log covering the following Capacity Planner actions:

  • Plan created: Track when a new plan is created and by whom

  • Plan updated: See when changes are made to an existing plan

  • Plan deleted: Maintain a record of removed plans

  • Plan approval status changed: Monitor approvals and status transitions

These events are captured automatically and surfaced in a dedicated Audit Log view, giving admins a single place to review planning activity across their organization.

This update is designed to strengthen transparency, support internal governance, and make it easier to meet compliance and regulatory requirements.

Why it matters

Compliance and transparency

Many organizations must demonstrate detailed activity records to satisfy internal controls and external regulatory standards, such as GDPR. This feature provides that visibility without additional setup.

A better experience

Previously, some customers relied on custom scripts to reconstruct this kind of history. Audit logging brings this capability natively into Capacity Planner, removing the need for workarounds.

Built to scale

The underlying logging system is designed to perform well even with large volumes of planning activity, with filtering and search so admins can quickly find the events they need.

Getting started

No configuration is required to begin capturing audit events. You can access the new “Audit Log” view from within Capacity Planner and begin reviewing plan activity.
