New Tempo navigation is rolling out to Cloud soon

As we first announced several months ago, Tempo is getting ready to change its navigation in order to better align with the new Jira navigation from Atlassian. It took longer than expected for all of you to receive the new Jira navigation, but now that that has happened we will roll out the new Tempo navigation as well. As it now stands, we are expecting that the Tempo navigation changes will go into effect around July 8th.

The main change you will see as a result of this change is the removal of the Tempo side navigation panel (shown below with a gray background).

Once that happens, the integrated sidebar will serve as your sole way to navigate within Tempo. This sidebar has all of the same elements as the side panel -- including My Work, Planning, Reports, Teams, Accounts, Apps and Settings -- but with a style that aligns with Tempo's recent brand refresh. (If you prefer to view Tempo’s navigation options as a list rather than a sidebar, you can click the pin icon in the lower left corner of the sidebar and the sections will then show up as a hamburger menu next to your user name.)

While we understand that it may be difficult for you to lose the side panel, we are excited to be able to better align with Jira’s new navigation. We are also thrilled that these changes will allow us to move to the use of a single page application that is much quicker to load -- and thereby greatly improve your overall user experience within Tempo.

As always, we look forward to hearing your feedback.
