This week, we'll proudly be unveiling Tempo Budgets 11.1. This version of our agile budgeting tool offers you an enterprise-grade portfolio overview with enhanced search performance, advanced filtering capabilities, and customizable columns.
This release also has a tighter integration with Tempo Timesheets components, which provides more automation when tracking costs and revenues.
42% of portfolios are comprised of more than 100 projects. So it comes as no surprise that 62% of project managers say that enhancing their dashboard tools is a top priority.
This is why Tempo Budgets 11.1 is equipped with an enterprise-grade portfolio dashboard that brings you the clear visibility that you need!
Enhanced manage screen delivering speed, searchability and customizability.
First, the search performance of the manage portfolios page has been dramatically improved - by a factor 30 - to ensure speedy navigation across large project portfolios.
Second, the filter function has undergone a major upgrade - to work much like your usual filters in JIRA. You can now build advanced filters that use multiple fields at the same time - where multiple options can be selected for each specific field.
Finally, it is now possible to create custom fields to define for your folios. These custom fields can be added to the overview - as columns - and they can be used in your filters as well.
Side note: you can switch between the List and Timeline views without losing your filter.

Automatic reporting of fixed costs from issues.
Tempo Budgets now pulls the fixed expenses reported in issues associated with your folio. In other words, when fixed expenses are added to an issue that belongs to the scope of a folio, that expense will be automatically reflected in the actual costs of the folio.
If the expense reported in the issue is in a different currency than the folio, the currency conversion will be done automatically. As always, you maintain absolute control over the applicable exchange rates.
What’s more, if the issue is associated with a Tempo Account that is capitalized, the associated fixed expenses will also be reflected as capital expenditures in Tempo Budgets.

Automatic access to accurate hour rates.
In Tempo Timesheets, you have the possibility to create custom price tables, which define an hourly rate for each role in your teams. It is now possible to link a price table to a folio. That way, when you enter revenue for your project, the hourly rate associated with the team member will be automatically entered for you.
Side note: you can always overwrite the hour rate, if necessary.

Based on your valued customer feedback, other changes in this version include improved user interface and labels. And back by popular demand, you will notice the return of the ‘Planned versus Actual’ panel in the overview.
